Coleman DRV48 Controller ID Guide

1. Locate the controller

The controller on the Coleman DRV48 is located in the battery bay under the seat. It has a black plastic access panel covering it.

 

2. Access the controller

To access the controller the cover will need to be removed. It is held on with 2 phillips head screws along front edge. Once the screws are removed it should pull straight forward to remove.

 

3. Observe & Identify The Controller

With the cover removed you can see the controller pretty easily. The controller in this model vehicle (2022) is the Enpower MC3818-4840. The programming port is also located near the controller here.

 

4. Locate & Identify Programming Port

The programming port on the Coleman golf cart is a 2 pin black flat automotive style connector. It should have a yellow and a green wire and there should be a protective cap to seal the connection from the elements. Typically after the first time accessing the port you can route it down to a location where you can get at it without removing the rear access panel each time you need to connect to the vehicle.

 

Now that we have identified the controller in your vehicle we can take a look at the required equipment to connect to the vehicle and make your desired changes.

5. Programming Cable

To establish a connection with the Enpower controller in your Coleman golf cart you will need to use CartCables part # CC-CBL-ENPWCB. It can be purchased HERE

 

6. Programming Software

In addition to the programming cable you will need to have a copy of the "Parameter Calibrator" software loaded on your pc. WE DO NOT PROVIDE THE SOFTWARE.
