EVolution D-MAX Controller ID Guide
So far, EVolution is only using the C-model controller in D-MAX vehicles.
If your vehicle is a 4WD version, it’s important to note that it will have two controllers, and both will need to be adjusted when making changes.
Below, you'll find an overview of the components, how to locate them, and what’s required to access and adjust the settings.
1. Access & Identify The Controller (Rear)
![]() |
The main rear controller on the D-MAX is mounted under the rear seat bottom cushion, just forward of the rear axle. The easiest way to access and inspect the controller is by removing the rear seat bottom cushion. You won’t need any tools—simply pull up on each of the two front corners of the seat cushion, and they will pop loose. Once both latches are released, the cushion should lift up and slide out or off. With the cushion removed or lifted, the controller will be located on the passenger side of the vehicle. On some models, the label is mounted on the underside, facing the ground, making it a bit tricky to view. In these cases, we recommend using a cellphone camera—extend your arm down and snap a photo to read the label. |
2. Check the controller model number

The model number can be found on the product label located on the side of the controller. Typically, it is on the same side as the 35-pin multi-connector, but in some cases, it may be on the opposite end. EV48-400-C Model Shown Above. |
